The Corona Theatre was built in 1912 in the Saint-Henri district of Montreal. The very first use of the theatre was for showing silent films. The theater was left unused by the 1960s and was scheduled for demolition by the city of Montreal. In October 1997 the L’Institut des Arts de la Scène purchased the building and gave it a new face while keeping its historic feeling. Since then the Corona Theatre hosts a variety of shows and concerts.
