In 1989 the Dixie Chicks group was formed Dallas. With their bluegrass sound album Thanks Heavens for Dale Evans that the formation got known.

The Trio turned to a more country like style. It made them the most popular female country group of the hour ! With their Hit album Wide Open Spaces they made diamond with 12 millions copies sold. With 10 millions copies sold they attained the same success with their album Fly.
