The Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir was founded by Prof. Trevor W. Payne, C.M. and Daisy Peterson Sweeny (Oscar Peterson's sister).

The choir was created in 1982 for special occasions.  They were so much appreciated and became so popular that they became a full-time act!  They've recorded many albums and even won a JUNO Award for Christian Contemporary/Gospel Music Album of the Year.

It will be the choir's 34th Gospel Celebration.  They'll be performing at the Maisonneuve Theater in December 2016.
