Born in Haiti in 1970, Marie-Josée Lord was adopted at the age of five by a quebecker couple.  She was raised in Lévis, a suburb of the city of Quebec.

She studied the piano and the violin but had to stop because of a shoulder accident.  she debut in 2003 in the role of Liu in the opera Turandot.  He first album, launched in 2011, made best-seller of all time with her record label.

Marie-Josée Lord will be perfoming at Centre Culturel de Beloeil in December 2015.
