The National Arts Centre opened its doors in 1969 in Ottawa, situated between Elgin Street and the Rideau Canal. It is the only center of performing arts to be at the same time multidisciplinary as well as bilingual in all North America. It’s also one of the biggest in the world.
The National Arts Centre contains 3 venues, The Southam Hall, The Babs Asper Theatre and The Studio. They have respectively 2 323 seats, 897 seats and from 250 to 300 seats.
The NAC was named national historic place.
