The Wildcats de Moncton play within the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QJMHL) in the province of New Brunswick.  The franchise was given to them for the 1995-96 season but were named Moncton Alpines.

The Wildcats de Moncton play at the Centre Avenir.  They won the QJMHL Championship for seasons 2005-06 and 2009-10.  In 2006, they hosted the Memorial Cup.

One of their most famous player is Corey Crawford (he's won two Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks).  He still hold the record for "least goals against" and "most won games" of the team.
