Open in 1929, Théâtre Outremont had it's glory days in the 1970's. Steeped in Quebec's cultural history, the theater closed it's doors at the end of the 1980's. It was a shock to Montreal's cultural society. It re-opened it's doors in March 2001 thanks to the ambition and entousiasm of local artists.
Théâtre Outremont offers a variety of shows and concerts and promotes Quebec's artistic creations. The main hall can welcome up to 775 people and the small hall, Petit Outremont, can sit up to 115 people to produce their shows.
